Blackmagic URSA Cine 17K 65 is a revolution in digital film with an extremely large format 17520 x 8040 65mm RGBW sensor with larger photo-sites for 16 stops of dynamic range. The URSA Cine 17K 65 Body model is ideal when you have existing camera accessories that you want to use to create your own camera rig. It excludes top handle, baseplate, power supply, battery plate and LPL lens mount. It does come with an interchangeable PL lens mount, a dedicated assist station with a second 5″ HDR LCD touchscreen and industry standard Lemo and Fischer connections. Blackmagic URSA Cine 17K 65 Body also includes an 8TB media module, high speed 10G Ethernet and WiFi for fast media upload and syncing to Blackmagic Cloud.

Building on the original 12K RGBW Super 35 sensor, the new large-format design features larger photo-sites, delivering an astounding 16 stops of dynamic range! The unique RGBW architecture provides equal amounts of red, green and blue pixels for incredible color super sampling, optimized to deliver rich colors at all resolutions and provide the ultimate in image quality and flexibility. Now you can capture more detail with a wider dynamic range than ever before! Plus, in-sensor scaling means you can record at all resolutions without any cropping!

A Camera Body Optimized for High End Productions!

Blackmagic URSA Cine is designed to meet the demands of any high-end production. The camera body features a robust magnesium alloy chassis and lightweight carbon fiber polycarbonate composite skin to help you move quickly on set. Soft-touch backlit buttons make controls easy to see in all lighting conditions. There's a 5″ fold-out touchscreen for reviewing shots and accessing camera settings, plus a dedicated assist station on the other side of the camera, with a 5″ LCD and full camera controls! Standard LEMO and Fischer connectors let you control the camera remotely while providing power for lens motors and accessories. You also get 12G-SDI out, 10G Ethernet, USB-C, XLR audio and more!

Generation 6 Color Science

Blackmagic Generation 6 Color Science features numerous imaging improvements for the advanced URSA Cine sensor, with extremely accurate color reproduction for natural and pleasing skin tones. The processing pipeline has been redesigned using 3D LUTs for film, extended video and video gamuts, so you can customize output by loading your own LUTs. The LUTs are applied after the color corrector, so corrections are on top of full film gamut. You can output different color spaces using preloaded LUTs including Rec. 709, 2020 and PQ, plus you can even customize the gamut compression! URSA Cine now has two 3D LUT processors for different outputs and an extra 3D LUT just for the SMPTE-2110 output.
