USB Capture Utility V3.
Utility V3 is a free software for USB Capture and USB Capture Plus devices. Users can easily check and set the capture-related parameters, upgrade the firmware by themselves and export info needed for technical support with the help of the Utility.Capture Format Setting.
Set the capture resolution, frame rate and color space. If the capture format is different with the input format, the FPGA in the capture device will automatically do up/down scaling, causing 0 CPU usage. This function is especially useful when scaling by software causes much CPU burden.Audio Volume Control.
The Utility V3 can control the volume of the audio input (recording) and output (playback) of the USB capture (Plus) devices. The functions differ with models. If the system volume is changed, the parameter on the Utility V3 will also change accordingly. Users can click on the icon to quickly mute/unmute a playback/recording device.HDMI Specific Features:
- Auto scan of video input sources when there is no signal input to the currently selected input source
- Manual selection of video input source
- Auto selection of linked (embedded) audio input source when the video input source changes
- Manual selection of audio input source
- Support for input video resolutions up to 2048×2160
Video Capture Formats:
- Support for capture resolutions up to 2048×1080
- Support for capture frame rates up to 120fps (Actual capture frame rate can be limited by the USB
bandwidth and internal working frequency. Typical capture frame rates on the Intel USB 3.0 controller
are as follows.)
- 1920×1080 YUY2 (up to 70fps)
- 1920×1080 RGB24 (up to 60fps)
- Support for YUY2 & UYVY 4:2:2 8-bit
- Support for RGB24 & RGB32 4:4:4 8-bit
- The default capture format is YUY2. More capture format can be set using USB Capture Utility.
