The Blackmagic StudioBridge 10G PWR is designed to bridge low-cost single link 10G Ethernet SMPTE-2110 connections into high-end redundant 100G Ethernet based systems. It converts and combines 8 channels of 10G Ethernet into a redundant pair of 100G Ethernet connections. That means you can plug in 8 separate 10G Ethernet Ultra HD devices. Each 10G Ethernet port has a massive 90W of PoE++ power, so you can power equipment such as converters and cameras directly from their Ethernet connections!

Build Large or Small SMPTE-2110 Broadcast Systems

Blackmagic Design has a wide range of SMPTE-2110 equipment for building anything from small mobile racks to broadcast trucks and entire stations. There are cameras, live production switchers, Ethernet switches, standards converters, monitors and audio monitors. Compact mini-converter models work with cameras and monitors, while rack-mount equipment suits larger installations. With such a wide range, you can build a fully native SMPTE-2110 system. Plus, most 10G Ethernet models can be remotely powered! Adding converters is also a low-cost way to bring your existing gear into SMPTE-2110, including switchers, disk recorders, streaming encoders, graphics systems, cameras and televisions.

Conforms to the SMPTE‑2110 IP Video Standard

Blackmagic 2110 IP products conform to the SMPTE-2110 standard, which specifies the transport, synchronization and description of 10-bit video, audio and ancillary data over managed IP broadcast networks. They can re-sync SDI inputs to a common PTP clock, or external gear can lock to the reference output generated from the PTP clock. Supported standards include SMPTE-2110-20 for uncompressed video, SMPTE-2110-21 for traffic shaping, SMPTE-2110-30 for audio, SMPTE-2110-40 for ancillary data and many models support SMPTE-2022-7 for seamless redundancy. Plus, multicast support efficiently distributes video, audio and data from a single source to multiple destinations simultaneously.

One of the biggest problems with SMPTE-2110 is needing an IT technician on standby to keep your video systems running. Blackmagic 2110 IP Converters solve this because they can connect point-to-point, so you don't need a complex Ethernet switch if you don't want one. That means you get all the advantages of SMPTE-2110 IP video with simple Ethernet cables, remote power and bidirectional video. It's just like a traditional SDI workflow. Simply plug cameras into rack converters and get camera control, program video, power and tally all over a single cable. Or connect an HDMI converter to a rack converter for remote monitoring. Everything automatically configures and just works!
